Lake Garda, or, being more specific - it‘s Northern edge, is Europe‘s largest mountain biking site with an endless amount of trails of all kinds, unbelievably amazing scenic views, and one ‘biking village‘ named Torbole on the Northern lake shore.
Riding in the Garda area is done mainly on quite comfortable tracks, as well as quite steep and technical single tracks (for which it‘s better to use a guide in order to locate them). A typical riding day includes some 600 to 1,000 meters climbing, going through small villages, colorful lakes on top of the mountains, and a cafe or restaurant in every peak.
If you wish to involve some mechanical climb, you may ride along the lake shore to the town of Malcesine and take the huge gondola to the top of Monte Baldo (2,000 meters) or take a shuttle from Torbole to the famous Tremalzo trail (1,600 meters).
Torbole, the Garda biking town, is a colorful town in which you can find some bike shops and services, restaurants, cafe‘s, bars, and more.
